Tribal Society is a non-profit educational organization dedicated to empower and uplift students through accessible, interactive, engaging and transformative education.We believe that every child deserves high quality education and a chance to explore their full potential, regardless of race, disability, or socioeconomic background. Our mission is to empower students with the knowledge and skills they need to become respectful and successful adults.
We aim to provide safe and inclusive learning environment where children can discover their passions, develop essential skills, and cultivate a love for learning. Our team is passionate about education and is dedicated to making a positive impact in our society and the community. The goal is to help scholars and families foster a sense of belonging, self confidence, and resilience, elevating children to overcome obstacles and reach their dreams.
ABOUT ME
My name is Tiffiney Baxter, daughter of the late Sarah Werts/Freddie Baxter and Forrest Werts Jr and I am the CEO of Tribal Society. I am a native, graduate and product of Newberry SC, graduating from Newberry High School in 2005. I did not go directly to college because I went right in to the workforce, the early childhood field. I moved to Charlotte in 2010 and attended Belmont Abbey College in 2011 and there, I received my BA in Educational Studies May 2015. I worked at the daycare part time and then for Gaston County Public Schools with at risk students at an Alternative School. In 2018, I became a Pre-School Teacher and went back to school (UNC-Charlotte) to get my Birth-K Graduate Certificate. I am currently a 6th year Early ChildHood Educator in CMS, with a total of 17 years in Education.
